Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus: 4.5/5
The first book I read this year was Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus, a book that was recommended by a few of my friends who like to read the same kinds of books that I like to read. High level, it was recommended as a light/quick-read, modern feminism, fiction (that reads somewhat as non-fiction). Think Julia Child meets Daisy Jones and the Six. A chemist, a chef, a woman, a mother: just hyper-realistic enough that you feel like they could really be a real person. You’ll plow through it and wonder “what happens next?” And you’ll get some lessons in chemistry along the way.
