In attempting to extricate myself from working late nights, I’ve replaced Jira boards with a low hum of learning.
It’s possible that they’re senseless things I’ll never use, or things that my less-plastic brain can’t withstand. But it’s been fun to try. Lately it’s been JavaScript.
I listened to one of the Ladybug podcasts on my way to work the other day and they broke down the difference between Vue, Angular and React frameworks. I’d spent a grand total of 1 day fussing around with (what I now know as) vanilla JavaScript when I realized how little I knew about anything.
Then again, it’s all perspective. It can take a solid week to explain what I do every day, let alone what ecommerce even means. The fact that I have a place in my mind to put the word “framework” in the context of development is a solid accomplishment for a Monday.
I’ll take it.
