Time and Again by Jack Finney
I was drawn to this book because a) I’m a sucker for time travel b) It was recommended by Stephen King and c) The author is best known for the sci-fi classic The Body Snatchers. It breezed by – would recommend for a quick quarantine read.
Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
I got beat over the head by this book, it was everywhere early 2020. I finally caved and finished this book in the span of two days. It’s easy to see what the fuss is about. A beautiful narrative, a murder-mystery, expertly crafted characters.
American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
Starts off hopefully enough but falls a bit short and loses heart. Not a terrible read, but not particularly ground-breaking either. (Also, not without controversy).
If It Bleeds by Stephen King
This book of novellas (four “short” books) is great for King fans and Non-King fans. The mix of stories – while I enjoyed all of them – gives you room to find something you like even if one doesn’t hit quite right. Would highly recommend.
